Safety & Guidelines

Thank you for choosing Victoria Carriage Tours! The beginning of your tour starts at the intersection of Menzies and Belleville streets. Your tour ends at Menzies and Belleville streets as well. If you would like a pick-up or a drop-off in another location there will be a charge for this on top of the fee you are paying for your regular tour route. The only exception to this is if you have spoken to our manager directly and they have informed you that the pick up or drop off location you have requested is a "free pick-up/drop-off location". If you would like your tour to begin or end anywhere other than Belleville and Menzies streets this must be indicated and confirmed by our management at the time you book your tour; otherwise we may not be able to accommodate the request. Requests to delay the tour to a later time can be accommodated if you call us at least 2 hours before the time of your tour subject to our availability at the time you would like to change your tour departure time to, so we may or may not be able to accommodate such requests with the proper two hours notice depending on whether we have an available spot later on; if we do not have an available spot later on we will have to hold you to your pre-arranged tour time. If you request to delay the time of your tour with less than 2 hours notice before the time your tour is booked for there is a fee of 4$/minute required to hold the carriage. I.e. if you call us a few minutes before your tour and ask to go 15 minutes later than originally scheduled we will accommodate this if we are able to based on our other bookings, but there will be a fee of 45$ for a 15 minute rescheduling time as per the 4$/minute overtime rate, so should you want to delay your tour departure time be sure to call us with at least 2 hours notice before your tour so that we do not need to charge you the "overtime" fee. Should you request that the carriage stop during the tour in a way that causes the tour to take longer than its prearranged time (ie asking to stop for 5 minutes for pictures) the driver will allow this only if they deem the location a safe place to stop based on their judgement of the situation, and the same 4$/minute overtime rate applies in such a case. If the driver deems it unsafe to stop for any reason, or if we have a reservation after your tour that will be affected by us stopping the driver will not be able to stop. Generally we do not stop during our tour routes so if for some reason (eg wedding photos) you would like to stop for more than a few seconds anywhere on your tour please prearrange this when you book your tour so that we can let you know if such a request can be accommodated. We operate rain or shine so should you choose to cancel due to weather such cancellations are non-refundable. We provide blankets (but not during COVID-19 recommendations for optimal public health), and all of our carriages have a cover that can be put up in the case of rain so that there is a cover over your heads, with the sides of the vehicle still open. If for some reason you need to cancel your tour, please let us know as soon as possible; if you let as know with at least 72 hours notice before the time of your tour that you will have to cancel we can provide a refund for you on your card; however cancellations with less than 72 hours notice are non-refundable.
