Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Kelowna

Welcome to Kelowna, the city on the lake. Take the day to arrive in Kelowna and check into your hotel. Your accommodation is located downtown, making it the perfect location to spend the rest of your day exploring before your activities begin the next day. Some suggested activities include wine, beer and spirit tasting, enjoying the lakeside trails and parks or enjoying some local Okanagan produce at Kelowna's many restaurants.

Day 2 - The Heart of the Okanagan

Continue your knowledge of the Okanagan's unique landscape at Myra Canyon park. You will be picked up from your accommodation and transported to the canyon, where you will meet your guide and get equipped with your bike and cycling gear. From there you will begin the Magnificent Myra Canyon Tour Trestles & Tunnels tour. This informative experience will see you exploring the canyon, its' iconic trestle bridge and unused rail tunnels by bike with a knowledgeable guide. After the tour you will be transported back to Kelowna where the rest of the day will be left free for you to continue getting to know the city. This half day tour can be arranged for the morning or afternoon.

Day 3 - Travel to Osoyoos

Today you will say your goodbyes to Kelowna and travel south to Osoyoos. You may want to stop through the town of Oliver on the way for a wine tasting or to shop for local produce. On your entrance into Osoyoos, you will stop at the Osoyoos Desert Centre, where you can explore interpretive walking trails or opt for a guided tour to gain an in depth perspective of the desert environment. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to settle in to your accommodation and get to know Osoyoos.

Day 4 - Desert Days

Today you will begin an in depth journey to understand Canada's only desert, and the people, flora and fauna that live there. Your day will begin the Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre, a state-of-the art facility showcasing the local First Nations cultures. Embark on an informative guided tour of the surrounds and shop for Indigenous crafts at the gift store. Following this experience, you will have a 1 hour trail ride at Indian Grove Riding Stables, where you can explore the desert on horseback with a knowledgeable Indigenous guide. This activity can be done in the afternoon or evening for a twilight activity.

Day 5 - Depart Osoyoos

Day 5 is a departure day. We hope you had an amazing experience in the Osoyoos desert. After you check out of your accommodation, you are free to explore Osoyoos and the surrounds. Some possible activities include tasting local wine, hiking Anarchist Mountain or enjoy the lakeside parks, before returning your car to Kelowna International Airport.
