Day two takes you to the legendary Joffre Lakes, renowned for their stunning trio of turquoise-blue alpine lakes, nestled amid majestic glaciers. This popular 10-kilometre round-trip hike offers breathtaking views and even a chance to take a refreshing dip in the middle lake. On your final day, venture off the beaten path to Semaphore Lakes, a hidden gem surrounded by glaciated peaks. This short but rewarding 6-kilometre hike promises spectacular scenery and a true sense of wilderness. Conclude your adventure with a scenic drive back to Vancouver, carrying memories of Pemberton's pristine natural beauty.
Your long weekend getaway will start with a three-hour trip up the iconic Sea to Sky Highway. You'll make a stop in Whistler for a midday meal before continuing up to the Pemberton area. Your first hike is a shorter way-up around Nairin Falls. The water in the river and the falls is a silty alpine blue. It's a great preview for the alpine blue lakes waiting for you at Joffre. There's a couple of viewpoints to enjoy this rushing falls before continuing on to Pemberton.
Today will take you to Joffre Park. This iconic landmark has three of the most beautiful blue lakes in BC. This is a popular hike requiring reservations, which our team will help you sort out There's no cell service near the park, so be sure to download your QR code inn town. The hike is 10 kilometers round trip. We recommend hiking up and checking out all three lakes. The top lake has stunning glaciers descending into it and is one of the most spectacular sights in BC. If it's a warm day, there's an log going about 10 meters out into the middle lake, making for an epic Instagram shot if you want to dive off the log and take a swim.
Joffre Lakes Hike
This hike is one of the best off-the beaten path routes in BC. The route up to Semaphore lakes is steep, often a bit muddy and overgrown, and requires a good off-road car. But it's short, and offers great rewards for only 6 kilometers of hiking. The Semaphore Lakes are majestic and are surrounded by glaciated mountains. Once you're done hanging out at the lakes, it's time to drive back to Vancouver.
