Itinerary

Day 1 - Meet in Vancouver

Welcome to Vancouver, traditional territory of the Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Begin your trip by checking in at the unique Skwatchays Lodge. After settling in to your room and exploring the hotel's indigenous art gallery and gift shop, enjoy a welcome dinner of indigenous inspired food using local ingredients at Salmon 'n' Bannock.

Day 2 - Explore the land and sea

Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel and a guided tour of the gallery or cultural activity. In the afternoon, make your way Vancouver's iconic Stanley Park where you will meet your guide from Talaysay Tours and embark on the Spoken Treasures Tour. On this walking tour we will learn about First Nations oral history and experiences while visiting the sites of Stanley Park. Finally in the late afternoon you will depart for Squamish to spend the night.

Day 3 - Land of the Squamish and Lil'wat

Start the morning with coffee and a donut in Squamish, before travelling to Whistler. Visit the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, a stunning museum commemorating the art and culture of the local First Nations and attend a guided tour with a Cultural Ambassador. Finally visit the SLCC's Thunderbird Cafe, where you can enjoy a lunch of indigenous fusion food before your experience concludes. You will then be free to continue exploring Whistler Village, or continue back to Vancouver.
