Welcome to Vancouver! After picking up your car and travelling to your hotel, you will make you're way to where Canada’s microbrew explosion began, at Granville Island Brewing, a short bus ride away. Take some time to explore the iconic island and once at the brewery, start by sampling the Island Lager. This signature lager was an instant hit upon opening in 1984, and remains a staple to this day. After an afternoon siesta enjoying the ocean views on Granville Island, you’ll spend your evening on Main St. in the Mt. Pleasant neighbourhood. This area is conveniently located within walking distance of your hotel, or by water taxi from Granville Island. There are more than 10 breweries to explore around Main St, ensuring there is something for every taste! Return to your hotel, the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre on Broadway, for a good night's rest before travelling onward tomorrow!

After a relaxed morning wandering the Granville Island Public Market, you’ll make your way up the Sea to Sky highway towards Squamish. Your first stop will be Howe Sound Brewing, which received "Brewery of the Year" at the 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards. You’ll enjoy your first pint of the day as you soak up phenomenal views of the Stawamus Chief, a legendary rockface towering over Squamish. After exploring Squamish, you’ll head over to the far side of town to check out the highly awarded A-Frame Brewing Co. and Backcountry Brewing, which offers a wide selection of signature sour beers, and some awesome pizza to go along with it. Both are within walking distance of each other, and we recommend finishing at Backcountry which is a 10 minute walk back to your hotel, the Sandman Hotel & Suites.

Finally, your trip will lead you to Whistler. Before descending into the party-friendly atmosphere of the Village, you’ll have your afternoon pints at Function Junction. This was the original settlement in the Whistler area, and features two phenomenal breweries, Whistler Brewing Co. and Coast Mountain Brewing. Once you arrive in the village, High Mountain Brewing will be your go-to spot after checking into your hotel. Once it closes, turn your attention towards Whistler’s nightlife, with several bars and restaurants staying open until 2AM.
